Badminton, short tennis, racket ball, squash and table tennis

A weekly drop-in session at Stanley Deason for members where you can meet people and play badminton, short tennis, racket ball, squash and table tennis. Relax in our fully licensed café and bar.

Monday 10.30am - 12.30 pm
Stanley Deason Leisure Centre, Brighton.

Social Events and Trips

BSTHG has a full programme of social events throughout the year. They offer the chance to share experiences in a friendly and mutually supportive environment, and provide a wide range of other benefits and activities for their members.


These include:

  • Quiz Nights
  • Shuffleboard Tournaments
  • Coach Trips - Cite Europe, Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace, Buckingham Palace, Poppy Factory, Chatham Docks, Bletchley Park, National Trust Places and Gardens.
  • Theatre Trips
  • Picnics, walks and bike rides
  • Christmas Markets
  • Evening meal at a local restaurant
  • Museums

Information about our social events will be announced at your class.


Brighton & Sussex Take Heat Group donates funds surplus to the groups administration to to other charities and good causes. These included the Sussex Heart Charity, the Cardiac Department at the Royal Sussex County Hopsital & the Princess Royal Hoptial and the Cardiac Rehabliltation Departments.

Events include the annual Fun Swim at Lewes Leisure Centre, the Summer Walk & Picnic at Stanmer Park, the Sussex Heart Charity Walk and the London to Brighton Bike Ride.


The BSTHG magazine has been running since 2009 and is published 3 to 4 times a year. It is available to all subscribed members via post or email.
